Aled’s roots are deeply planted in the rolling hills of Montgomeryshire. Like generations of his family before him, Aled was raised in the constituency; living first of all in Dolanog, and now Llangadfan, he was educated locally at Dyffryn Banw Primary School and Caereinion High School.

A former National Chair of Plaid Cymru Youth, Aled studied for an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in politics at Aberystwyth University. He’s currently a research student in politics at Cardiff University.

A fluent Welsh speaker, Aled feels passionately about making a better Montgomeryshire and a better Wales. A son of a former Second-Language Welsh teacher, Aled lists his main political interests as education, young people, the environment and the Welsh Language. If elected, Aled promises to be a strong, friendly voice for both Montgomeryshire and rural Wales as a whole.
